Round 13 Review of the National Basketball League: soon to be "B League".
Adelaide 100 – Townsville 79.
The Red Wall and Hodge combined for 64 points and 35 rebounds for the Sixers as they snapped the Crocs' five game winning streak. Pre-game, Hodge said; 'tonight will be the murder of Homicide', Williams' 15 was tops for Townsville.
Perth 129 – Adelaide 120.
These guys needed 58 minutes to settle the score with Luke Kendal saying enough is enough in double OT. This time the Red Wall and Hodge racked up 76 points and 25 boards.
South 107 – Melbourne 98.
The Dragons bombed their way back from a 19-point deficit in the third with Nathan Herbert draining a trio from range in the fourth. Rhys Carter and Daniel Dillon were the only Dragons to hit the court and notch double figures.
Cairns 97 – Gold Coast 88.
The Taipans unleashed their anger and frustrations on the court, claiming an overtime battle sans both imports at the expense of the smouldering Blaze.
Townsville 104 – Wollongong 99.
The Hawks seemed to prematurely nug with their re-jigged starting line up, as the resurrected Homicide led a second half comeback to send Wollongong home with six straight non-wins.
Champoid of the Week:
The Cairns Taipans impressed during a 53-minute break from their hellish week.
Rotman of the Week:
Dwayne Vale (pictured above - looking for......) had 7 points, 3 assists, a rebound and a blood alcohol level somewhere between 0.05 and 0.15.
